ADMISSIONS INFORMATION AND REQUIREMENTS

APPLICATION DEADLINE

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

To enter MGIMO:

  • Undergraduate degree (original, +copy)
  • Supplement to the Bachelor’s degree (original, +copy)
  • 4 photo 3 to 4 size
  • 4 photo 3 to 4 size
  • Copy of passport

Entry exams:

  • Foreign language
  • Economics


To enter IELPO (to be submitted after the 1st year studies):

  • CV/Resume that includes professional experience, educational background, and other relevant experience
  • Application essay (motivation letter)
  • Recommendation from the Academic supervisor from the Home University
  • Copy of language certificates (for non-native English speakers)

TUITION FEE

MGIMO: 378 000 RUR per year + 500 Euro for the 2nd year inscription
IELPO (University of Barcelona): 19 000 Euro per year

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

The curriculum of the Program combine training in analytical methods and practical management skills to ensure that graduates are prepared to understand problems and implement solutions. Students combine these core skills with a focus on a policy area of their choice. Toward the end of their studies students engage in a practice-oriented internship.
Program graduates have employment opportunities in international organizations, federal, state, and local governments, various private entities working in the field of international trade.

DEGREE REQUIREMENTS

The M.E.Sc. year begins with an intensive program in economy, finances and international relations designed to strengthen students' skills. All courses are taught in Russian. Some courses are essentially lecture/discussion; others are seminars in which students present papers for group discussion and workshops based on field research, participation by visiting experts, and group reports.

The L.L.M. year begins with an intensive program in international WTO trade law  and policy, competition law and policy, international finance and negotiations. All courses are taught in English.
